Article submission is a way for someone to write an article about a specific topic and then submits it to either an article directory service. Reasons for this can include either one of the following.

1. The article will attract people to read it and hopefully then click through from the article to the writers' website. This is a method of driving traffic to a site and can work tremendously well if the writer focuses upon popular topics.
2. The article can be submitted to an article directory and along with trying to gain traffic from people reading the source article, they can also try to accomplish creating a back link for that article to a particular website with the same information or topic.

It’s always a good idea to add new content to your site. When you blog or write about a new topic you should let people know about it.
